Drum Circle in Straylight

While I was at Straylight (see my previous post) having a blast exploring, I decided to bring Asaria over and join me on the drums. We ended up playing around with all the instruments that was avalable there and having so much fun. Eventually, Ipenda logged in and so we bugged him to join us 😛

Exploring Straylight

I had heard about Straylight from some people photos on Flickr and decided to check it out myself. I love this place, and it seems Ipenda does too lol. If you happen to have the WindLight client installed, this place is just so beautiful with all the lighting effects and the water.

 

Not the best shot as my client was having a few issues/problems, but it’s still nice to see ripples in non-linden water.

Delay in Posting

Yes, I have been busy in RL (Real Life) and my posting’s have kinda slowed a bit. But never fear, I am now going to post a few tonight that have been on my mind and upload a few new pictures to my flickr.

I have been playing around a bit more with Photoshop to learn a little more of the great tips and tricks that I have read about.  Look forward to some better pictures from me in the future. I have also decided to try my hand at clothes design, which is really horrible right now. Nothing major to report on that yet, as most of it looks horrible even for a beginner.

Scripting is something I am sure I can do without much trouble, but getting my mind to focus is a very hard thing to do. I have a few ideas in my mind but getting them from idea to reality is another hard step.

Anyway, off to upload those pictures and then write a few more blog posts about them.

ColeMarie at Glass Earth Concert

I noticed that ColeMarie Soleil was performing at Glass Earth and decided to check it out. Great concert, although the lag was pretty bad. I stood up on the walkway behind her on the stage and just stayed as still as possible to keep from crashing. I will really have to check out more of her shows in the future, it was great.

Ahhh, nice and warm

Even kitties like to keep warm, what better way then to snuggle into a big fluffy bunny and sit by the fire 😛 This bunny has been sitting at Paws Above University ever since I joined, and everyone wants to sit on the bunny. I managed to get a chance to sit on it now 🙂

Exploring can make you tired.

I was out exploring what I could find after doing a search for neko and came across this place last. I forget the name of it but it was a nice view from the balcony I was on. After the countless teleports around to various places, my little kitty butt needed a break. So here I am taking a small nap. Shortly after this picture was taken, I teleported around a bit more until I came to a roleplay sim. I have never really roleplayed before so I didn’t stay long, but I did grab the rules notecards for future reference.  Maybe one day I will try role playing, but for now I  just want to explore a lot of places.

I have been trying to think of a way to make some money without “camping” like most do. I was told various times that is the best way when you start out. I am sure there has to be other ways, cause camping just doesn’t really seem umm right… in some way. I mean, people may have a good reason for it besides providing money to those that can’t find other means or to provide money to people just starting out. I just don’t think it’s right for me, I would rather find a job or something I can do and learn to be creative. Like I said earlier, I have never really been creative and I am hoping that Second Life will give me the ability (in a small way like giving me ideas) to be creative.

Ok, long post and now I should get back to exploring more hehe.

First Post

My First 2 days in Second Life. Having fun so far, and it seems really interesting. i haven’t really explored much yet, but plan on spending a lot of time finding new places.

I bought this top, skirt, socks, collar, cuffs, and boots (not seen) from Curious Kitties. The hair and skin came from Deviant Kitties. My kitty ears and tail (kinda hard to see my ears) came from Hybrid. I browsed a few people’s blogs and flickr streams before jumping in and doing things, this way I had a set image in mind before spending a single L on anything. My look is not exactly what I wanted but it’s close enough for now, once i can find a way to make some money i can get a lot more things.

I have never been really creative in my life, but I am hoping that I can learn to be in Second Life. I hope to make something of myself in this great place.
